Jackpot!
Jackpot! is Buckwheat Zydeco’s first studio album since 1997’s acclaimed Trouble. Obviously, we’ve taken our time, and poured our hearts – and especially souls – into this disc. We hope you enjoy listening to this offering as much as we enjoyed making it. Of course the accordion is still Buck’s axe of choice here, but one exciting, fresh aspect of Jackpot! is the increased presence of Buck’s amazing skills on the mighty Hammond B-3 organ. The Hammond organ only brings Buck back closer to his roots – as he first gained renown playing the Hammond in zydeco king Clifton Chenier’s legendary Red Hot Louisiana Band in the 1970s. – Ted Fox, March 2005
